Fall Carnival - October 30th from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m.

Flag Football - Registration begins September 28th, Ages 5 to 14, Fee $10.00. Proof of age is required.

Basketball - Registration begins December 14th, Ages 8 to 14, Fee $10.00. Proof of age is required.

Toy for Tots - Registration dates:

• Tuesday, November 3rd, 2:30 to 6:00 p.m.
• Thursday, November 5th, 10:30 to 1:30 p.m.
• Friday, November 6th, 2:30 to 6:00 p.m.

History of the Center

On August 15, 1972 the Southern Area Committee approved plans for the Silver Wing site to include a multipurpose field, a tot lot area, a basketball court, and picnic areas. Construction began January 1974. Both the building and the park was dedicated on May 8, 1976. The Otay Mesa Recreation Council was officially recognized on March 2, 1977. The park sign was dedicated April 18, 1987.  We are not the park with the big silver wing momunment.  That park is called Montgomery-Waller Community Park.

The center is accessible by bus via SDMTS route 929.
