Knott’s Berry Farm’s Field Trip - Saturday May 16, 2009 from 8:00a.m. to 10:00p.m. Ages 11 to 17. Fee is $20. Spaces are limited.

Table Tennis - 2009 Registration begins May 18, Ages 8 to 16. Fee is $10 and proof of age is required.

Sandlot Baseball - 2009 Registration begins June 15. Ages 5 to 7. Fee is $15 and proof of age is required.

History of the Center

On August 15, 1972 the Southern Area Committee approved plans for the Silver Wing site to include a multipurpose field, a tot lot area, a basketball court, and picnic areas. Construction began January 1974. Both the building and the park was dedicated on May 8, 1976. The Otay Mesa Recreation Council was officially recognized on March 2, 1977. The park sign was dedicated April 18, 1987.  We are not the park with the big silver wing momunment.  That park is called Montgomery-Waller Community Park.

The center is accessible by bus via SDMTS route 929.
