Balboa Park Task Force

The Balboa Park Task Force is a Mayor-appointed volunteer advisory task force to develop recommendations to the Mayor and City Council on a new non profit public-benefit entity to work with the City's Park and Recreation Department on fundraising and park management. This task force of stakeholders (PDF: 33K) will hold public meetings over the next six months to engage the public in a dialogue that will include: the relationship between the City and park support organizations; potential changes to the municipal code, council policies and the City Charter; and the structure of the new governance body. The role of the public organization will also be considered. Balboa Park will continue to be owned and operated by the City of San Diego.

Meetings will be held at 6 p.m. the 3rd Monday of every month beginning on Monday, October 19.
