Mariner’s Point

Mariner’s Point is a large sandy peninsula off of Bonita Cove. The tip of Mariner’s Point is a Least Tern nesting area and park users must be at least 500 feet away from this protected area. A permit for up to 250 people and 2 inflateables can be issued for this site. There is a picnic shelter and restrooms available.

Note:
There is no swimming allowed in this area.

Food is allowed on site and alcohol is not permitted. No glass containers.

Directions & Parking
- From South or East San Diego, take I-8 to the Sports Arena Blvd. exit, make a right onto West Mission Bay Drive and continue on to West Mission Bay Drive ramp. Continue over the bridge and the parking lot will be on the left-hand side.
- From North San Diego, take I-5 to the Sea World Drive exit, make a right onto Sea World Drive and continue on to West Mission Bay Drive ramp. Continue over the bridge and the parking lot will be on the left-hand side.
- Parking is free in these lots.
