Mission Bay Park

Ventura Cove

This park in Mission Bay is located in the 1100 block of West Mission Bay Drive on the right hand side of the street, after crossing the channel. Swimming is allowed with a lifeguard on duty during the summer months. The area has picnic tables, benches, and fire rings.

Note: Be sure to arrive very early on summer weekends as the parking lots tend to fill up quickly.

Available Hours	4:00am to 2:00am
Food/Beverages	Food is allowed onsite but no glass containers. Alcohol is not permitted.
Restrooms	There are restroom nearby and also a “beach“ shower

Directions & Parking

From South or East San Diego, take I-8 to the Sports Arena Blvd. exit, make a right onto West Mission Bay Drive and continue on to West Mission Bay Drive ramp. Cross the bridge and the parking lot is on the right-hand side.

From North San Diego, take I-5 to the Sea World Drive exit, make a right onto Sea World Drive and continue on to West Mission Bay Drive ramp. Cross the bridge and the parking lot is on the right-hand side.

Parking is free in these lots. There is also some street parking nearby.
