Fire Pit Program – Donation Guidelines
The San Diego community has a proud history of supporting the City in challenging times. The City welcomes and encourages individuals and companies to assist us with keeping the Fire Pit Program during this economic downturn.
Goal
Our efforts to secure support for the Fire Pit Program are on-going. However, in order to ensure the Fire Pit Program is funded after June 30, 2010 we hope to raise $173,000 by December 15, 2009.
Guidelines
It is important to note that we have specific guidelines in place for the current financial situation. The City cannot commit to fund the Fire Pit Program after June 30, 2010, unless the accumulated financial commitment is enough to keep the Program running for 12 months, or one full budget year.
In the event that deposits made to the Program do not reach an amount sufficient to cover the Program costs, donors will be notified of this in writing via a letter. If there are no plans to continue the Program, donors will be offered the opportunity to seek a refund. Amounts on deposit after December 31, 2010 will be considered available for any General Fund program or service. Interest earnings on donated amounts will be assigned to the City's General Fund.
