Draft Black Mountain Ranch Subarea Plan Amendment
A plan amendment has been requested by the master developer Black
Mountain Ranch, LLC. The main components of the proposed amendment
include redesigning the North
Village (town center) from traditional rectilinear to radial grid layout,
shifting land uses within the town center, relocating the hotel
from the resort site to
the town center, establishing a residential community care facility at the
former resort site, deleting the future golf course and converting
the site to Open
Space, and relocating the fire station from the town center south to Carmel
Valley Road.

The Black Mountain Ranch Subarea Plan was adopted by the City Council on July 28, 1998, and approved by the voters of the city of San Diego on November 3, 1998.
