Public involvement in the planning process is essential for effective community planning. Involving the widest participation in your community assures that the decisions your Community Planning Group makes will be wise ones, based on all available input from stakeholders affected by your decisions. Issues addressed with full community participation are more likely to have community buy-in and lend credibility to your Community Planning Group's recommendations to the City Planning Commission and City Council.
