The Adequate Sites Inventory (PDF: 3.2M) list is a state-mandated inventory of parcels which the City believes have the potential upon which to be developed with housing. These sites are already zoned and designated for residential use in the respective community plans. The fact that a site appears on the inventory does not necessarily mean any residential development will occur.

The state's Department of Housing and Community Development has found the City of San Diego's Housing Element 2005-2010 to be in compliance with state law. The Housing Element contains programs that provide San Diego with a framework to address our existing and projected housing needs. A housing element in compliance with state law also provides an advantage in competing for regional and state grant funds.
