Vernal Pool Management Plan
The City of San Diego is pleased to invite public review of the DRAFT City-wide
Vernal Pool Management Plan, which has been prepared under a grant from the
U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service. This document builds on the Vernal
Pool Inventory (City of San Diego, 2004) which updated historic surveys of these resources
in San Diego.
Purpose
The DRAFT City-wide Management Plan has been prepared to provide 1) consolidated
information on the history, natural resources and existing permit/mitigation
requirements, if any, for known vernal pools within the City of San Diego,
and 2) recommendations for management actions are these sites. Detailed
information on the use of this document is found in Section 6.3. Workshop
A public workshop will be held at 2 PM on October 16, 2008, at the
City of San Diego Environmental Services "Green Building" located
on 9601
Ridgehaven Court. Comments in writing will be accepted until November
14,
