Get an update on the City of San Diego's Pedestrian Master Plan Project. The City is in the process of developing a Citywide Pedestrian Master Plan. The vision of the plan is a safe, accessible, connected and walkable pedestrian environment that enhances neighborhood quality and promotes walking as a practical and attractive means of transportation.

General Plan Update
A comprehensive update to the City of San Diego's General Plan was unanimously adopted by the City Council on March 10, 2008. The City Council also certified the General Plan Program Environmental Impact Report and adopted the associated environmental documents, and adopted related amendments to the Land Development Code. The new General Plan sets out a long-range vision and comprehensive policy framework for how the City should plan for projected growth and development, provide public services, and maintain the qualities that define San Diego over the next 20 to 30 years. Hearing Officer Dockets (Agendas) and Minutes Available Online
The Hearing Officer is appointed by the Mayor, and presides at public hearings and makes impartial decisions on permits, maps and other matters in accordance with the Land Development Code.
