Otay Mesa Community Plan Update

The City Council unanimously adopted the Otay Mesa Community Plan Update (OMCPU) on March 11, 2014. The update included the certification of the Final Environmental Impact Report (FEIR), the rescission of the Otay Mesa Development District (OMDD), the rezoning to Citywide zones, and the approval of the Public Facilities Financing Plan (PFFP). On October 2, 2014 the OMCPU won the Outstanding Planning Document Award from the Association of Environmental Professionals!

Ocean Beach Community Plan Update

Through the dedicated efforts of the Ocean Beach Community Planning Group, community members, and City staff, the City Council unanimously adopted the Ocean Beach Community Plan and Local Coastal Program on July 29, 2014. The adopted update included the certification of the Final Environmental Impact Report, the rezoning of 99 properties, and the adoption of the Public Facilities Financing Plan. The final step will be the certification of the plan by the California Coastal Commission in early 2015.
