Graffiti Vandalism, Responsibility of Parents
Take the time to discuss with your child the importance of respect for property, and the impact and expense of graffiti on the victim.
The City of San Diego has a curfew for minor children. For minors under the age of 18 years of age, curfew in San Diego is 10:00 p.m. (58.015 SDMC). Please see that your child respects this curfew.
If you think your child may be involved in graffiti, gangs, or drugs, there are sources that can assist you. The first step is to contact the child's school. The Police Department has information for gangs, Drug Prevention and Juvenile Administration. After-school activities are provided by the city libraries, Park and Recreation Centers, and youth organizations.
The City of San Diego Graffiti Control Program provides more information on what you can do to prevent graffiti vandalism.
