Traffic Investigations Unit
Accident Investigations Bureau performs the following functions:
- Formally investigates all fatal collisions
- Formally investigates all felony related traffic crimes (felony hit & run, felony DUI, felony evading)
- Investigates all misdemeanor traffic crimes such as hit & run, false impersonation, throwing rocks at vehicles, etc)
- Assists the Homicide Unit on crimes involving motor vehicles.
- Responds to serious injury collisions involving police equipment.
