SAN DIEGO - All City of San Diego offices and most City facilities will
be closed Friday, July 4, in observance of Independence Day.
Refuse and recyclables normally picked up on Friday, July 4, will be collected
one day later, Saturday, due to observance of the holiday. Collection
will return to the normal schedule beginning Monday, July 7. The Miramar
Landfill will be open on the holiday from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Metered parking, all timed parking zones, residential permit parking
areas, and "No Parking" street-sweeping signs will not be enforced
on July 4.
The Central Library and all other branch libraries will be closed Friday,
July 4, and Saturday, July 5. Historically, libraries have closed on July
5 when July 4 is on a Friday. Libraries will maintain their normal Sunday
operation hours on July 6. Book drops will remain open at all library
locations.
Both Torrey Pines and Balboa Municipal golf courses will be open. Call
local recreation centers and pools for their holiday schedules. For information
