Most City Facilities to be Closed Monday, January 19, In Observance of Martin Luther King, Jr. Holiday
Trash and Recyclables to be Collected One Day Later
SAN DIEGO - All City of San Diego offices and most City facilities will be closed on Monday, Jan. 19, in observance of the Martin Luther King, Jr. holiday.
Refuse and recycling collection normally scheduled for the week of Jan. 19 will be collected one day later due to observance of the holiday. The Miramar Landfill will be open on the holiday from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
City parking meters will not be enforced on Jan. 19. All other parking restrictions will be in effect and enforced on those days.
The Central Library and all branch libraries will be closed. Book drops will remain open at all library locations.
Torrey Pines, Balboa, and Mission Bay municipal golf courses will be open. Call local recreation centers and pools for their holiday schedules. The City's lakes will not be open for fishing and boating on Jan. 19. However, Lake Murray and Miramar Lake will be open for picnicking, walking, bicycling, and other non-water activities.
