Trash, Recyclables and Greenery to be Collected One Day Later
SAN DIEGO - All City of San Diego offices and most City facilities will be closed on Monday, Feb. 21, in observance of the President's Day holiday.
Due to the holiday, refuse, recyclables and greenery will be picked up one day later than usual each day of the week, so Friday's collection will happen on Saturday. The collection schedule will return to normal Monday, Feb. 28. The Miramar Landfill will be open on President's Day from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Metered parking and "No Parking" street-sweeping signs will not be enforced Monday, Feb. 21. All other parking restrictions, including those in the vicinity of PETCO Park, will be in effect and enforced on that day.
The Central Library and all branch libraries will be closed. Book drops will remain open at all library locations. All Community Service Center and Police Storefronts will also be closed.
Balboa Park, Mission Bay and Torrey Pines Golf Complexes will be open, and holiday rates will apply. Most recreation centers will be closed and all pools will be open. Please call your local recreation center or pool to confirm their holiday schedule. For information on the operating hours of the City's lakes, call 619-465-3474.
