Central Library Concert Series, Winter/Spring 2012

Due to unforeseen circumstances, a recital by classical guitarist Bill Jones will be featured at the May 6 Central Library instead of the previously scheduled performance by pianist James Gary.

The Central Library is pleased to announce the schedule for the Winter/Spring season of its annual concert series. The series is made possible by the Friends of Central Library, the San Diego Public Library matching fund program, and public and private donations. The concerts are very important to the musicians in the series because they provide a venue for them to perform locally. The community has responded enthusiastically as well, as shown by the consistently high attendance of musicians, music lovers, music appreciation students and San Diego residents. During 2011 almost 900 people attended the concert series.

Where: Central Library, downtown, 820 E Street, third floor auditorium
When: Sundays at 2:30. Programs last about one hour
Cost: Programs are free and open to the public
Parking: The 5 Star Parking lot, which is adjacent to the Library at the southeast corner of Broadway and Eighth Avenue, is available for free parking. Enter the lot from Eighth Avenue. The Library thanks 5 Star Parking for making the complimentary parking available. See map (PDF) for more details about parking downtown.
