Adult Learning Center (Brainfuse) - Dedicated to the unique needs of an adult population, Brainfuse's Adult Learning Center consists of a suite of services that, among other things, provides live job coaching, test preparation (such as the GED and the U.S. Citizenship Test), and academic skills building sessions from live online tutors.

The African American Experience (Greenwood/ABC-CLIO) - Research tool for African American history and culture, which provides a wealth of information from authorities in the field and African Americans themselves. The database includes more than 400 titles, 3,000 slave narratives, over 2000 images, 5,000 primary sources, and 250 vetted Web sites. It was designed under the guidance of leading librarians and gives voice to the black experience from its African origins to the present day.

Art & Architecture Complete (EBSCOhost) - Provides full-text coverage of 380 periodicals and more than 220 books. In addition, this database offers cover-to-cover indexing and abstracts for more than 780 academic journals, magazines and trade publications, as well as for over 230 books. Art & Architecture Complete also provides selective coverage for 70 additional publications and an Image Collection of over 63,000 images provided by Picture Desk and others.

Book Collection: Nonfiction (EBSCOhost) - A rich research database for school and public libraries. Business Plans Handbook (Gale) - A multi-volume collection of actual business plans compiled by entrepreneurs seeking funding for small businesses throughout North America. For those looking for examples of how to approach, structure and compose their own business plans.

Business Source Complete (EBSCOhost) - Provides an easy way to both browse and search for country economic data, company profiles, industry information and market research, and then use the results as limiters in a keyword search, if desired.


Career Library (EBSCOhost) - Offers a comprehensive information resource for career and college research. Five user-friendly components help users match their interests to occupations, education prospects, and more. Created for individual researchers and career/education technology professionals, Career Library is a valuable addition to libraries and career centers.

Computers & Applied Sciences Complete (EBSCOhost) - Covers the research and development spectrum of the computing and applied sciences disciplines. CASC provides indexing and abstracts for nearly 2,200 academic journals, professional publications, and other reference sources from a diverse collection. Full text is also available for more than 1,000 periodicals.

Education Research Complete (EBSCOhost) - The definitive online resource for education research. Topics covered include all levels of education from early childhood to higher education, and all educational specialties, such as multilingual education, health education, and testing. Education Research Complete provides indexing and abstracts for more than 2,100 journals, as well as full text for more than 1,200 journals, and includes full text for nearly 500 books and monographs.

Encyclopaedia Judaica - 2nd Edition (Gale) - eBook version of 22 volume print encyclopedia, covering all aspects of the Jewish world and Judaism. Articles and multimedia on religion, history, politics, culture, the Holocaust, Jewish arts and literature, Jews in America, and more.

Environment Complete (EBSCOhost) - Contains more than 2.4 million records from more than 2,200 domestic and international titles going back to 1888 (including over 1,350 active core titles) as well as more than 190 monographs. The database also contains full text for more than 920 journals.

ERIC (EBSCOhost) - The Education Resource Information Center contains more than 1.3 million records and links to more than 323,000 full-text documents dating back to 1966.

Film & Television Literature Index with Full Text (EBSCOhost) - The definitive online tool for film and television research. History Reference Center (EBSCOhost) - Offers full text from more than 1,620 reference books, encyclopedias and non-fiction books, cover to cover full text for more than 150 leading history periodicals, nearly 57,000 historical documents, more than 78,000 biographies of historical figures, more than 113,000 historical photos and maps, and more than 80 hours of historical video.

Hoover's Company Capsules & Profiles (ProQuest) - Company descriptions, financials, key officers, and news for more than 17,000 public and private enterprises worldwide.

Humanities International Complete (EBSCOhost) - Provides full text of hundreds of journals, books and other published sources from around the world. Produced by Whitston Publishing (an imprint of EBSCO Publishing), this database includes all data from Humanities International Index (more than 2,300 journals and more than 2.9 million records) plus unique full text content, much of which is not found in other databases. The database includes full text for more than 1,200 journals.

International Bibliography of Theatre & Dance with Full Text (EBSCOhost) - The definitive research tool for the study of theatre and the performing arts. This database was initiated by the American Society for Theatre Research, and since 1984, the Theatre Research Data Center (TRDC) at Brooklyn College has published 14 volumes of the IBTD. These volumes comprise a fully indexed, cross-referenced and annotated databank of over 60,000 journal articles, books, book chapters and dissertation abstracts on all aspects of theatre and performance in 126 countries. The Latino American Experience (Greenwood/ABC-CLIO) - Dedicated to the history and culture of Latinos. Designed, developed, and indexed under the guidance of Latino librarians and library directors, the database includes maps, images, audio clips, interviews, music files, speeches, documents, and other material in English and Spanish, plus links to vetted Web sites.

Legal Information Reference Center (EBSCOhost) - contains hundreds of full-text publications and thousands of legal forms. The full-text legal reference books are provided through Nolo, the nation's oldest and most-respected provider of legal information for consumers and small businesses.

LGBT Life with Full Text (EBSCOhost) - Contains all of the content available in LGBT Life as well as full text for more than 120 of the most important and historically significant LGBT journals, magazines and regional newspapers, as well as more than 150 full-text monographs and books. The database includes comprehensive indexing and abstract coverage as well as a specialized LGBT Thesaurus containing over 6,400 terms.

Library, Information Science & Technology Abstracts with Full Text (EBSCOhost) - Indexes more than 560 core journals, nearly 50 priority journals, and nearly 125 selective journals; plus books, research reports and proceedings. This database also contains full text for more than 330 journals. Subject coverage includes librarianship, classification, cataloging, bibliometrics, online information retrieval, information management and more. Coverage in the database extends back as far as the mid-1960s.

MasterFILE Complete (EBSCOhost) - Designed specifically for public libraries, this multidisciplinary database provides full text for more than 2,000 general reference publications with full text information dating as far back as 1922. Covering virtually every subject area of general interest, MasterFILE Complete also contains full text for more than 1,000 reference books and over 164,400 primary source documents, as well as an Image Collection of over 502,000 photos, maps & flags. MedlinePlus (NIH) - The National Institutes of Health's Web site for patients and their families and friends. Produced by the National Library of Medicine, it brings you information about diseases, conditions, and wellness issues in language you can understand.

Newspaper Source Plus (EBSCOhost) - Includes more than 860 full-text newspapers, providing more than 35 million full-text articles. In addition, the database features more than 857,000 television and radio news transcripts.

Newsstand (ProQuest) - National and regional newspapers. Includes The New York Times and The Wall Street Journal.

NoveList K-8 (EBSCOhost) - Find fiction titles for classroom use or reading including picture books, children's chapter books, and young adult titles. Oxford Islamic Studies Online (Oxford University Press) - Encompassing over 5,000 A-Z reference entries, chapters from scholarly and introductory works, Qur'anic materials, primary sources, images, maps, and timelines, Oxford Islamic Studies Online offers a multi-layered reference experience designed to provide a first stop for anyone needing information and context on Islam.

Oxford Music Online (Oxford University Press) - Formerly Grove Music, it includes the full text of several major music dictionaries, 50,000+ articles, 20,000+ biographies, links to music sites, and audible musical examples and sound files.


Play Index (EBSCOhost) - This index database covers 30,000+ plays, 1949-present. Search keywords, monologues, casting, sets, etc. Includes one-act and radio/tv plays. Some online play texts are linked via the Internet.

Points of View Reference Center (EBSCOhost) - A full-text database designed to provide students with a series of essays that present multiple sides of a current issue. The database provides more than 280 topics, each with an overview (objective background/description), point (argument), counterpoint (opposing argument), and Critical Thinking Guide.

Pop Culture Collection (Gale) - Provides journal articles and more for topics in the social sciences, history, art, or the liberal arts.

Pop Culture Universe (Greenwood/ABC-CLIO) - From iPods to Elvis to Michael Jackson, research American and world popular culture, past and present. Referencia Latina (EBSCOhost) - A comprehensive Spanish-language database, Referencia Latina offers content from a variety of sources including 49,000 encyclopedia entries, more than 100,000 images, 2,500 health reports, a Spanish-English dictionary and full text for over 100 reference books and dozens of general interest magazines in a broad array of subject areas.

Regional Business News (EBSCOhost) - Provides full text for nearly 100 regional U.S. and Canadian business publications (including titles from Crain Communications).

Religion & Philosophy Collection (Gale) - Provides coverage for 250+ subject appropriate full-text journals and articles on faith, religious topics, and philosophy.


Sams Photofacts (Sams) - Schematics for small consumer electronics including radios, TVs, stereos, and VCRs from 1946 to present. Includes diagrams, instructions and data for the repair technician.

Sanborn Fire Insurance Maps (ProQuest) - Historic maps from 1867-1970. Provides access to 2448 large-scale maps of 573 California towns and cities. Users can manipulate, magnify, zoom, and layer maps from different years.

Science Online (Facts on File) - For students and teachers. Printable diagrams, definitions, biographies, experiments, timelines, and essays in specific subject areas such as earth science, biology, chemistry, weather, and more.

Science Reference Center (EBSCOhost) - A comprehensive research database that provides easy access to a multitude of full text science-oriented content. This database contains full text for nearly 640 science encyclopedias, reference books, periodicals, etc. Topics covered include: biology, chemistry, earth & space science, environmental science, health & medicine, history of science, life science, physics, science & society, science as inquiry, scientists, technology and wildlife.

Short Story Index (EBSCOhost) - Find 70K+ short stories that have been published in anthologies, collections, and periodicals from 1984 to the present, many with links to the story's full-text. Updated monthly.

Social Studies Fact Cards - California (Toucan Valley) - A series of research resources for quick reference for students in grades 4 through 8. The Fact Card topics are those California topics included in the social studies curriculum in California, such as California missions, tribes, etc.

SPORTDiscus with Full Text (EBSCOhost) - The world's most comprehensive source of full text for sports & sports medicine journals, providing full text for 550 journals indexed in SPORTDiscus. This authoritative file contains full text for many of the most used journals in the SPORTDiscus index - with no embargo.
