Local Author Program
The Local Author Program highlights the intellectual and creative accomplishments of writers and nurtures budding writers in the San Diego region. Special events are held for authors including book discussions, writing workshops and author talks, where writers can interact directly with their readers as they share, sell and sign their books.
Local Author Exhibit
A centerpiece of the Local Author Program is the annual Local Author Exhibit. The 48th year of the Local Author Exhibit produced the largest turnout ever for the fifth consecutive year with over 332 authors and 112 co-authors furnishing 398 titles reflecting the diversity of San Diego's population and equally diverse scope of interests. The exhibit's online component will stay up until December.

- Where: Physical copies of authors' works are on the first floor of the Central Library, located downtown at 330 Park Blvd., San Diego, CA 92101
Online Author Exhibit
Call for Future Author Exhibitors
A call for submissions goes out in early fall each year, alerting all San Diego County authors who have published books in the current year to submit them. Submissions for the 48th Annual Local Author Exhibit are being accepted from September 9th through December 13th. For more details, please visit the Local Author home page.
