Join Dr. Nic Reveles, Director of Education and Community Engagement for San Diego Opera, in a very special edition of his UCSD-TV program OperaTalk. In this
episode he will discuss the two Puccini operas that the company is producing this year, Tosca and Madama Butterfly, with emphasis on the composer's setting the
perfect atmosphere for the operas' stories through rich, melodic music for voice and orchestra. This event will be taped and broadcast on UCSD-TV.

About the Opera Insights Series
The Opera Insights Series prepares opera goers with enjoyable, informative, and engaging sessions that integrate historical and cultural background, music analysis, plot synopsis, and CD and DVD selections.
The lectures will be held at the San Diego Central Library in the Neil Morgan Auditorium, located at 330 Park Boulevard, in downtown San Diego.
These presentations will be delivered by Dr. Ron Shaheen, an adjunct associate professor with a specialization in music history and vocal music at the University of San Diego.
