ComputersYour children may come into contact with computers in their individual classrooms, a computer center in their school, in their school library, or in their neighborhood public library. Select a question below to learn more about computers. Use the navigation to the left to learn about other technologies.
Can My Child Break a Computer? If your child is intent on breaking a computer, he or she is likely to find a way to break it! Pouring soda into the keyboard, hitting the screen with a hammer: these methods are likely to be successful! However, a child is not likely to do damage to a computer with "normal" use. The child will not "break" a computer if he or she types something that is not correct, or hits a wrong key. The computer is quite forgiving. There are some Web sites that offer general information about how to take care of your computer, such as: PC Technology Guide |
