Aren't PDAs too complicated for children?

Personal Digital Assistants were originally designed for use by adults, not children. Nevertheless, high school and junior high school students can be reasonably expected to master the skills required to use a PDA. The writing stylus included with most PDAs presents a choking hazard for toddlers and infants. PDAs are also quite fragile—a PDA that is regularly taken into a schoolyard is almost certain to become an expensive paperweight.
