Communicating with Teachers
Students
use computers and related technologies to communicate with their teachers
in at least three ways:
- Submit assignments to the teacher. Students
may "hand in" their homework assignments to the teacher electronically.
This can be done in several different ways:
- Receive feedback from the teacher. Students
may also receive feedback on or evaluation of their assignments from
their teacher electronically. In some cases, the teacher may send an
e-mail to the student, giving feedback and suggestions about the assignment.
Teachers can also send "written" feedback to the students electronically.
The teacher can provide written comments in the student's paper by typing
in those comments (sometimes in a different color), and sending the
paper with the comments back to the student.
- Ask questions or make comments. Students
can use computers to ask questions of the teacher, or to make comments
to the teacher. This is usually done through e-mails. The e-mails are
private, so teacher and student can communicate without other students
"hearing" what is being said. Another good thing is that students can
communicate with teachers at times other than class times.
