Test Monitoring Guidelines

The library monitors open book examinations. We do not monitor closed book exams.

1. There is a non-refundable processing fee of $20 per exam. If you take multiple exams in one session, you will be charged $20 per exam. The test monitoring fee must be paid at the circulation desk prior to taking the exam; you will be given a receipt as proof of payment.
2. You must present your receipt with a valid photo ID prior to taking an exam.
3. You or your school must provide an envelope and sufficient postage for mailing back completed paper exams.
4. You must make an appointment to take an exam. You must complete the exam within the time limits set by your school, and you must complete it at least 15 minutes before the library closes.
5. Exams may be monitored at the Central library or at the branch libraries listed below.
6. We can receive exams via mail, email or fax. At your request, completed exams can be faxed to your school at a cost of $1.00 per page.
7. To prevent tampering, paper exams must be left with library staff for mailing back to your school.
8. If you wish to take the exam in a meeting room, there will be an applicable meeting room charge for each hour used to take the examination.
9. Online exams will be administered on our public internet computers. We do not monitor online traffic school exams.
