Co-Sponsors, READ/San Diego
Since 1988, READ/San Diego has established over 200 community partnerships with churches, private companies, community-based organizations, government agencies, and drug and alcohol rehabilitation centers. Annually, the community donates space for tutoring. READ/San Diego runs highly successful workplace literacy programs at the City of San Diego's Water Department. Neighborhood learning centers provide extended hours and flexible scheduling for adults when they can't access one of the City's 35 libraries. These include:
Ballard Parent Center, Old Town
Casa Familiar, San Ysidro
Clairemont Lutheran Church, Clairemont Mesa
CSSE (Center for Social Support and Education), Hillcrest
North County Learning Center @ Canyon Rim Apartments, Rancho Penasquitos
READ/San Diego, Valencia Park St. Vincent de Paul Village, Downtown
31st St. Seventh-Day Adventist Church, Logan Heights
Town and Country Village Learning Center, San Diego
