College Community Redevelopment Project Area
NEW! College Community PAC Elections Scheduled for October 6, 2009
The College Community Project Area Committee (PAC) serves as an advisory group to the Redevelopment Agency of the City of San Diego in the implementation of the College Community Redevelopment Plan (PDF: 1Mb) and related policies and regulations. Annual elections for the College Community PAC will be held on Tuesday, October 6, 2009 from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m., at the Faith Presbyterian Church, Room 1 (5075 Campanile Drive, San Diego, CA 92115). Open Seats for the upcoming College Community PAC Election are:
- Residential Tenants (2 open seats)
- Residential Owner Occupant (1 open seat)
- Business and/or Investment Property Owner (2 open seats)
- SDSU Students Representatives (2 open seats)
- Community Organization Representatives (2 open seats)
Candidates and voters must be at least 18 years of age and must provide proof of eligibility and show a valid identification. Please refer to the College Community PAC Procedures (PDF: 45K) and PAC Bylaws (PDF: 24K) for further details on requirements and eligibility documentation.
To Register as Candidate, please complete and submit the 2009 College PAC Candidate Registration Form (PDF: 51K). Please note that this form must be submitted to the Agency along with proof of eligibility and a copy of a valid picture identification on or before Thursday, October 1st, 2009 at 5 p.m.
Voters must bring the proper documentation, as outlined in the 2009 College PAC Voter Registration Form (PDF: 19K) and a valid photo identification to the election to vote.

General Project Area Information
The City of San Diego's 131-acre College Community Redevelopment Project Area focuses on student housing needs, transportation
planning, parking and public improvements. The City is working with private developers to provide adequate student housing.
Development has begun on several student housing projects, and a large mixed-use project is in the planning stage.
The project area is located immediately adjacent to the southern boundary of San Diego State University. It is primarily
bounded by College Avenue to the east, the SDSU campus on the north, Montezuma Road to the south, and 55th Street to the west.
The project area also includes the Montezuma Elementary School and a portion of the Alvarado Medical Plaza.
