IMPORTANT NOTICE: The Redevelopment Agency of the City of San Diego (Agency) is dissolved as of February 1, 2012, per Assembly Bill 1X 26 (AB 26). The City of San Diego, serving as the successor agency per Resolution No. R-307238 (PDF) (January 12, 2012), has assumed the former Agency's assets, rights, and obligations under the California Community Redevelopment Law, subject to some limitations, and is winding down the former Agency's affairs and taking other actions in accordance with the dissolution provisions in Part 1.85 of AB 26. City Heights PAC Annual Election Monday, October 10, 2011

The City Heights Project Area Committee (PAC) is a 20-member advisory group that consults with and advises the Redevelopment Agency of the City of San Diego on projects that affect the residents of the community. The City Heights PAC will hold its annual election on Monday, October 10, 2011, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Metro Career Center (3910 University Avenue in City Heights). If you would like represent your community as a PAC member please fill out the candidate registration form by Thursday, October 6, 2011, at 5:00 p.m. to register as a candidate for the election. Candidates will be given the opportunity to make a speech during a candidate forum from 5:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. before the regular PAC meeting on Monday, October 10, 2011. Polls open at 6:00 p.m.

Nine (9) seats open for election include:

  • Two (2) Residential Owner/Occupant seats
  • Three (3) Residential Tenant seats
  • One (1) Business Owner South of Polk Avenue seat
  • Four (3) Community Organization At-Large seats

Candidates and voters must be at least 18 years of age and provide proof of residency, business or income property ownership, or designation as a candidate by a community organization in the City Heights Redevelopment Project Area. Candidate information with eligibility documentation as outlined in the Voter/Candidate Registration Document Checklist must be submitted by 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 6, 2011, prior to the PAC election, for candidates to be eligible to run for a seat. Voters must bring the proper documentation, as outlined in the Voter/Candidate Registration Document Checklist, with valid photo identification to the election to vote.
