Background

• GartnerGroup conducted a focus group session with the Science and Technology (S&T) Commission on July 24th.
• The key objective of the session is to solicit input from the City’s external stakeholders and business leaders, on overall requirements, issues, and opportunities related to the City’s services, and impact on information technology (IT) directions.
• Based on input from the S&T Commission, the discussion focused primarily on IT-related opportunities, including suggested overall directions for the City’s IT Strategic Plan efforts.
• The documentation on the subsequent slides include the agenda for the session, specific objectives, and input from the focus group participants.
• The purpose of providing this documentation is to ensure that Gartner has captured key inputs from the session participants. These inputs will be considered as the Project Team develops overall City IT strategies.
