Storm Water Standards Manual
In cooperation with the Development Services Department, the Storm Water Pollution Prevention Division developed the City's Storm Water Standards Manual (PDF) in accordance with the Model Standard Urban Storm Water Mitigation Plan requirements approved by the Regional Water Quality Control Board. The Storm Water Standards Manual provides information to applicants for projects processed through the Development Services Department on how to comply with the permanent and construction storm water quality requirements for new development projects in the City of San Diego. These standards are also applicable to Capital Improvement Program projects.
On January 14th, 2011 the manual had been revised to incorporate the final Hydromodification Management Plan (HMP) requirements. The Model SUSMP, the HMP, and a BMP Sizing Calculator that was created to assist developers in complying with the HMP, are managed by Principal Permittee, the County of San Diego. These related documents may be found on the County's "Project Clean Water" website.
