Fiscally-sound, Effective City Government

The City faces numerous obstacles it must overcome. As part of his plan for municipal government reform, Mayor Jerry Sanders has committed to creating fiscal stability, streamlining government operations, making government more accountable and transparent to its citizens and making ethics and customer service the cornerstones of a new City government. As a result, we have set as a goal during this five-year period to rebuild trust in San Diego City government. We intend to provide fiscally-sound, efficient city government that is responsive and dependable.
