Watershed Coordination
Part of that coordination includes keeping close track of the projects and programs designed to improve water quality in these six areas. The City is required to document its work on at least two unique water quality improvement efforts in each area every year. In addition, the City is required to document its public education and outreach efforts designed to inform residents about ways they can reduce pollution and improve water quality.
Think Blue provides the City with a ready vehicle for most of this accounting. The Think Blue education campaign works with communities across each of the City’s watersheds to create awareness and changes in behavior that address water quality improvement needs.
