Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) Volunteer - Learn disaster preparedness skills with a goal of building community teams throughout San Diego to work with authorities during disasters. Classes are offered at the Regional Public Safety Institute near the San Diego airport. Please visit www.CERTsandiego.org for all necessary information. Qualifications: Minimum age requirement: 18 years old. Time Commitment: Initial 26 hour training academy, followed by local team involvement.
Office Assistant - Assist with administrative/office duties including answering phones; copying; word processing; spreadsheets; ID Cards. Qualifications: Intermediate computer literacy; proficient in Word and Excel 2002; performs detailed work accurately; works independently; able to follow directions. Time Commitment: 2-3 days/week; 2-3 hours/day.

Business Office Clerical Assistant - Does filing, copying, typing/word processing, mail sorting and answers phone. Qualifications: Types 30 wpm; able to file; can work as team member or independently as needed. Time Commitment: 2 days/ week; 4 hours/day; flexible hours; easy parking.
Community Education Volunteer - Assist staff in educating the public about water safety through providing information, arranging station tours, helping with various water safety programs, events and displays. Qualifications: Good phone skills; able to type 30 wpm. Time Commitment: 1-5 days/week; 4 hours/week.
Graphics Assistant/Web Updater - Design brochures, flyers, update Lifeguard Web site. Qualifications: Experienced with computer desktop publishing, html and Word Perfect 6.1. Time Commitment: Varies; 3-4 hours/week.
