Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) Volunteer - Learn disaster preparedness skills with a goal of building community teams throughout San Diego to work with authorities during disasters. Classes are offered at the Regional Public Safety Institute near the San Diego airport. Please visit www.CERTsandiego.org for all necessary information. Qualifications: Minimum age requirement: 18 years old. Time Commitment: Initial 26 hour training academy, followed by local team involvement and participation in qualifying activities to maintain deployment status.
Office Assistant - Assist with administrative/office duties including answering phones; copying; word processing; spreadsheets; ID Cards. Qualifications: Intermediate computer literacy; proficient in Word and Excel 2002; performs detailed work accurately; works independently; able to follow directions. Time Commitment: 2-3 days/week; 2-3 hours/day.
