Otay Water Treatment Plant Upgrade Project

Project Description

The Otay Water Treatment Plant (WTP) supplies one of the City of San Diego's three major water service areas, providing up to 34 million gallons per day of potable water to customers primarily in the southern reaches of the City. The treatment plant gets its water from the Morena, Barrett and Lower Otay Reservoirs.

Construction Start: Spring 2003

Construction Complete: Spring 2009
