Water Supply

While our short-term water outlook is good and California’s drought has been officially declared over, water waste is never an option. Droughts are cyclical and San Diego imports up to 85% of its water from Northern California and the Colorado River Basin. As supplies ebb and flow over the long term, wise water use has become a permanent part of the San Diego lifestyle. There are also permanent water-waste restrictions in effect every day of the year. Rain or shine, indoors and outdoors, all day and every day, "San Diegans Waste No Water."
