Chlorine Alarm Test Helps Construction Worker, Plant Staff and Residents Alert

San Diego, CA -- At the Water Department, safety is one of our most important priorities. We want to be prepared in the case of an emergency so we can respond quickly and efficiently, keeping our staff and neighbors safe. On Wednesday, October 10, between 11 and 11:30 a.m. we will be conducting a test of our Emergency Notification System at the Alvarado Water Treatment Plant, located at 5540 Kiowa Drive, La Mesa.

The system will broadcast an audible tone as well as a voice message with pertinent safety information. Those that live or work in the immediate area around the facility may hear this announcement.
