Water Outages Planned in San Diego
South Bay Residents May Experience Low Water Pressure
Or Possible Water Outages During Pipeline Repairs
San Diego, CA -Customers in the South Bay communities of San Ysidro, Otay Mesa, Nestor, and surrounding areas may experience low water pressure or possible water outages on Saturday, June 22, from 8pm through 6am Sunday morning.
The City of San Diego Water Department will be shutting down a portion of a major South Bay water transmission line and rerouting water supplies to these communities to accommodate a contractor’s repair of a broken 33" transmission pipe on the South San Diego Pipeline No. 1.
This work is being performed at night when demands are lowest and to help minimize the inconvenience to our customers. You may want to take precautions to have water available for toilet flushing or other essential uses by filling your bathtub or other containers with water before the shutdown period.
If customers experience any water pressure or service disruptions, they should contact the Water Department Emergency Line at (619) 515-3525.
