Watershed Sanitary Survey

The quality of water stored in our reservoirs can be negatively affected by residential and commercial development and human activities in the watersheds. A Watershed Sanitary Survey examines the potential sources of contaminants in the watersheds draining into the reservoirs, and includes recommendations for managing these effects. The Watershed Sanitary Survey is updated every five years.

The 2001 and 2005 Watershed Sanitary Surveys can be downloaded below, or to receive a complimentary version on CD-Rom, please call the Public Information Office at (619) 527-3121 or send an email to waterops@sandiego.gov.
