Residents Asked to Conserve Water in North Encanto Area

San Diego, CA - The City of San Diego Water Department is asking residents in the north Encanto area to conserve water.

Critical connection work associated with the construction of a new water pump station in the area is causing lower than normal water pressures. Crews are working expeditiously to make the connection and will do what is needed to return the system to normal operation as quickly as possible.

Residents in the north Encanto area may experience low pressure while this connection is being made. We anticipate the connection will be complete by mid-day tomorrow.

"We appreciate the cooperation of residents to help us reduce water demands so we can continue to provide water to all customers in this area while we make this important connection," said Water Department Deputy Director Nick Kanetis.
