Residents Asked to Conserve Water
in Point Loma, Sports Arena, Ocean Beach, Pacific Beach Areas

SAN DIEGO - The City of San Diego Water Department is asking residents in the Point Loma, Sports Arena, Ocean Beach and Pacific Beach areas to conserve water.

A main valve that controls water flow serving these areas is stuck closed and is hampering water delivery. City water crews are working expeditiously to fix the valve and will do what is needed to return the system to normal operation as quickly as possible.

Residents in these areas may experience low pressure or temporary water outages during the repair of this valve.

"We appreciate the cooperation of residents to help us reduce water demands in these areas while we make needed repairs to the system," said Water Department Director Larry Gardner.

For more information residents can call the Water Department's Emergency Services number at (619) 515-3525.
