Christine L. Moe, Ph.D.

Christine Moe holds numerous positions at Emory University, including Associate Professor in the Department of International Health at the Rollins School of Public Health and Co-Director of the Center for Global Safe Water. She also holds joint appointments in the Department of Environmental and Occupational Health and the Department of Epidemiology. Her research focuses primarily on the environmental transmission of infectious agents, especially food- and water-borne diseases. In her work, she applies molecular biology methods to epidemiology field studies to study transmission patterns and determinants of host susceptibility or resistance. She also works on international water, sanitation, and health issues. Moe received a B.S. in Biology from Swarthmore College and both an M.S. and Ph.D. from the Department of Environmental Sciences and Engineering in the School of Public Health at the University of North Carolina.
