Engineers from the City of San Diego's Engineering and Capital Projects Department presented the Harbor Drive Trunk Sewer project to the Barrio Logan Project Area Committee on January 19. The project, scheduled to begin construction later this fall, will replace approximately one mile of 39-inch concrete sewer main with 48-inch plastic lined concrete pipe. The existing trunk sewer was originally installed in 1981 and has nearly reached its full capacity, especially after the construction of the Convention Center and the new developments in the Barrio Logan area.
