Sharmaine Moseley was appointed Executive Director for the City's Citizens' Review Board on Police Practices in February 2015. Prior to relocating to the City of San Diego, she lived in Albany, N.Y., and managed the City of Albany Citizens' Police Review Board for several years. Ms. Moseley was actively involved in the development of the Albany Board since it was created in 2000. She is also an active member of the National Association for Civilian Oversight of Law Enforcement (NACOLE) where she currently serves on two committees. Ms. Moseley has strong leadership skills in the political and governmental areas which contributed to her ability to help build consensus, promote transparency, and credibility in police oversight within the community. She prides herself in being an expert in the field of police oversight and community building relations.
Ms. Moseley earned an Executive MBA from the School of Business at the State University of New York at Albany where she also received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology and Africana Studies.
