Josh Coyne

photo of Josh CoynePrior to joining the Councilmember’s team, Josh Coyne served as an Assistant Director in Student Affairs at the University of San Diego where he advised and supervised all operations of the student government. For over five years, Josh has volunteered with The Trevor Project, the leading national organization that provides crisis intervention services and suicide prevention resources for LGBTQ youth ages 13 – 24. In this role, Josh works to ensure young people across the country have access to the resources they deserve. Before moving to San Diego in 2013, Josh graduated with a Master of Science degree in College Student Personnel Administration from Canisius College and with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from Niagara University, both located in New York. In his free time, Josh enjoys long walks down the Point Loma path with his dog Lucy, a glass of wine, or a trip to the movie theater.

Josh represents the Councilmember in the Point Loma, Mission Bay and Midway and works on issues & policy related to Public Safety.
