Homeless Management Information System

The City of San Diego allocated $400,000 in Fiscal Year 2014 to coordinate and expand the regional homeless data system, called the Homeless Management Information System. With this funding, all homeless service providers in the region are now utilizing the same computer system. This is allowing the Regional Continuum of Care Council, chaired by Councilmember Todd Gloria, to more effectively and efficiently address the issue by tracking all individuals experiencing homelessness and matching San Diego's homeless in real time to housing and other resources.
