Karen Montufar-Federico serves as council representative for Councilmember Monica Montgomery. She was born and raised in District 4 and currently resides in the Encanto neighborhood. Coming from an immigrant family, she recognizes the power civic engagement holds. For the last 7 years, Karen has worked to increase voter turn-out in communities of color across the county, primarily around school board elections. She attended Whitter college for undergrad and majored in Sociology with a minor in Political Science.
