Jenny Yoo Williams serves as Policy Advisor and Scheduler for Councilmember Monica Montgomery. Most recently, Jenny served as law clerk and counsel to Chief Judge Barry Ted Moskowitz of the Southern District of California. She also worked at Pillsbury Winthrop Shaw Pittman LLP, an international law firm, where she represented companies in business litigation. Jenny is a proud founder of the Korean American Bar Association of San Diego and founding member of the Korean American Coalition of San Diego. She has also served as Regional Governor of San Diego and Orange County for the National Asian Pacific American Bar Association and Treasurer for the Pan Asian Lawyers of San Diego (PALSD). She currently serves on the Advisory Committee for PALSD. During law school, Jenny worked as a legal intern for the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees in Cairo, Egypt. She has also provided pro bono representation in Immigration Court to asylum-seekers and detained unaccompanied children seeking reunification with their families. Jenny was born in Seoul, South Korea, and grew up in Vancouver, Canada. She is a Phi Beta Kappa graduate of Brown University and earned a law degree and Certificate in Refugees and Humanitarian Emergencies at Georgetown Law. Jenny’s policy interests include youth and education as well as refugees and human trafficking issues.
