A native San Diegan, Justine grew up in Rancho Penasquitos and graduated from Mt. Carmel High School. She earned her Bachelor's degree in History, with a minor in Political Science, from UC San Diego in 2018. Justine has always had an interest in public service, but it was her passion for local policy and her love for her hometown that brought her to work for the San Diego City Council in 2017.  Justine joins the District 7 Office after serving as both a Policy Advisor and Community Representative to Councilmember Barbara Bry in District 1.  Justine currently serves as Councilmember Campillo's Chief of Policy, advising on all issues that pertain to District 7 and working with the Office’s policy advisors to collect data and evidence, as well as communicating with constituents and advocacy organizations, to build support our legislative proposals.

In addition to working for the Councilmember, Justine is also a Les Mills certified group fitness instructor. She is certified in BodyPump, BodyCombat, Grit, Sprint, and RPM and teaches at facilities around San Diego, usually before 7 a.m.  In her spare time, Justine enjoys spending time with her friends, family, her partner Jason, and their cat Cosmo.
