House of Poland
At the House of Poland you can explore the many tribal customs, folklore, music, songs, dances and ways of life in different parts of the country that have been passed down through generations. During December Nights you will be able to try a range of traditional Polish dishes, including pierogi, stuffed cabbage, polish sausages and bigos (hunter’s stew) and a variety of pastries.

House of Puerto Rico
Since its opening on February 4, 2006, the House of Puerto Rico has hosted a museum designed to share elements of Puerto Rican culture and history with the San Diego community. Stop by our food booth where you will be able to enjoy delights such as rice with rice and beens, empnadas, relenos de papa (potato balls), alco purias (green banana fritters) and pasteles (plantain tamales).

House of Scotland
House of Scotland membership is open to anyone of Scottish ancesty or with an interest in Scotland and Scottish culture. The House of Scotland offers haggis, bread pudding, chocolate cake, and their speciality, an amazing dessert called "Death by Chocolate”.

House of Spain
San Diego is home to approximately 2000 Spanish-Americans, and about 200 families are members of the House of Spain.During December Nights try some traditional "Paella” with chicken, seasoned rice, vegetables and seafood. The paella is cooked in a huge pan called paellera that are traditionally round, shallow and made of polished steel with two handles. Paellas were traditionally served in Valencia during outings in the countryside.

House of Sweden
In 1996 an ambitious “Viking Vision” campaign was initiated to fund the architectural and interior remodeling the House of Sweden. The house is spacious, beautiful and charming, decorated in the Carl Larsson tradition of true Swedish design. Swedish meatballs with lingonberries, cucumbers, limpa, pastries,cookies and Swedish almond coffeecake are traditional favorites during December Nights.

House of Ukraine
The House of Ukraine presents exhibits about our culture, history and traditions. During December Nights you can sample a variety of traditional foods like varenyky (hot dumplings), kapusta (cabbage and sourkraut), hot borsch, and kovbasa sandwiches, plus Kozak Koffee.

HPR Queens
Each year, the member Houses of the HPR elect Queens and Princesses to reign for one year. The HPR Queens Organization fosters a spirit of understanding, tolerance and goodwillbetween all races and nationalities, and prepares its members to be adult members of their Houses. The Queens act as "good will ambassadors" of HPR and present the music and dance of various ethnic groups at events throughout San Diego County.
