Balboa Park December Nights
There’s no holiday stress here. You’ll get to December Nights in good cheer using one of these methods:
All aboard, our free shuttles run:
Friday, Dec. 7
Saturday, Dec. 8
It's always in season and always a good idea. You can reach Balboa Park from most San Diego neighborhoods—as well as cities in East County, North County and South Bay—by bus, trolley or train. Plan your trip at the San Diego Metropolitan Transit System (SDMTS) website.
Get your ride on. Rideshare services located on 6th avenue near Laurel street.
Have fun getting to your destination, but remember, no dockless vehicles are allowed within the event perimeter. Designated parking available on the east and west ends of the park.
Walk from City College, Hillcrest, North Park, Little Italy, East Village and other downtown neighborhoods as well as the Smart Corner transit station. Please remember to be a good citizen and respect the residents of the neighborhoods as you pass by.
Parking in Balboa Park during December Nights is available. There is limited free parking, free ADA parking and paid vehicle parking. All other areas require a permit.
The San Diego Zoo parking lot is the only free, non-permitted lot at the Park. It fills very quickly. Arrive early to park there.
