“San Diego is a binational, mega-region with a strong cross-border economy,” said Kersey.  “Our new webpage will provide residents with easier access to City services and ways to get involved with City government.”

The new webpage includes information about how to report an issue in the community, and sign up to receive information via email. It also highlights the Councilman and his policy priorities.

The site is now online at www.sandiego.gov/citycouncil/cd5/español.

By not using an online translate tool, Kersey aims to provide a superior experience for Spanish-speakers. Additional pages will be translated over the next couple of months to provide even more information.

Councilman Kersey is also building relationships across the border to help grow binational economic ties to take advantage of San Diego's proximity to Latin America. He is on the Board of the San Diego Regional Economic Development Corporation (EDC), where he helped steer the Brookings Metropolitan Export Plan and Foreign Direct Investment Initiative.
