Nominate A Young Leader During Women’s History Month

Women Elevate SD

To encourage future leaders to continue their growth and gain access to more opportunities during Women’s History Month, Mayor Kevin L. Faulconer and One San Diego are calling on San Diegans to nominate young girls and women in the community who demonstrate signs of future greatness and are worthy of recognition. Mayor Faulconer will honor ten women and young girls who help make San Diego a world-class city at the 2nd annual “Women Elevate SD” awards. The public is invited to nominate young community members who show promise of being future leaders in San Diego.

Honorees will receive $500 scholarships from One San Diego toward the extracurricular or educational interest of their choice. Children and teens living in the City of San Diego aged 5-18 are eligible for nomination. Nomination forms should be sent to the City of San Diego’s Human Resources Department at humanresources@sandiego.gov. Deadline for submission is 5 p.m. on Friday, March 13. The second annual “Women Elevate SD” is a private event open only to City employees and youth honorees.
